Abstract

We read with great interest the Original Investigation from Raphael et al1 on factors associated with chemoradiation interruptions and noncompletion among patients with squamous cell anal carcinoma. In this Canadian population-based, retrospective cohort study, 1125 patients with stage I to III anal cancer were treated with curative-intent radiotherapy. This number is larger than any of the published randomized clinical trials with chemoradiation in squamous cell anal carcinoma.
