dc.description.abstractAssume the following interrelated situations which, while hypothetical for present purposes, could well be a reality in several mixed public– private telecommunications companies of public significance: Until 2016, a telecommunications company was 100% state-owned. In 2016, the government partially privatized the company by selling 40% of the state’s shares in the company to private investors. Accordingly, the share-ownership of the company is now 60% state/ public and 40% private.en_AU
