Abstract
The sub‐title suggests that the focus of the book should be about the demands on China in maintaining food security. It is stated that the book’s broad contribution is ‘a search for solutions to handle China’s on‐going food security challenges’. The author is a Professor at the College of Business, Law and Governance, James Cook University, with a lengthy, personal experience of food security in China, having been there during the Great Famine over 1958–62.
