Abstract
This story is framed within an Orff-like incorporation of the music of different cultures. Across the world, the Orff process has been adapted to reflect local traditions and local music-making. For Orff, the voice was central, as much a part of his practice as the Instrumentarium. This story is also one of crossing over cultures, where South African gospel has found a new expression in translation into Aboriginal languages, resulting in respectful exchange and community sharing.
