Monitoring colour and fading: fluorescent pigments in works of art
The three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy (3DF) is being used to monitor color and fading. 3DF spectra allow the quantitative measurement of color, which among other things helps pigment matching for retouching damaged paintings and monitoring color changes such as fading.
