An anionic surfactant, 4-dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DBS-H), has been used to prepare ZrO 2 films as the template at the air-water interface. Further investigations have been focused on DBS-H template stabilities, which control the structure as well as properties of the products. Significantly, a novel composite ZrO 2/SiO 2 film could be obtained by reacting ZrO 2/DBS-H composite with Na 2SiO 3.
