| dc.description.abstract | Information and communications technologies are now established features of life in industrialised societies. They have created untold benefits for education, delivery of health services, recreation, commerce, and government and changed considerably the nature of modern workplaces and patterns of employment. They have also created unprecedented opportunities for crime (see Grabosky & Smith 1998; Grabosky, Smith & Dempsey 2001; Smith, Grabosky & Urbas 2004; Grabosky 2007; Choo, Smith & McCusker 2007; Smith 2010b). Identifying these vulnerabilities, and mobilising appropriate countermeasures, are some of the great challenges of the years to come. | en_AU |
