Abstract
Beyond participating in political affairs, immigrants will develop in the process of integration a set or orientations towards the political system of their host country. One such orientation will be the amount of confidence they express for the various political institutions - or the perception of fairness with which individuals expect to be treated by institutions. Confidence in political institutions is central to maintaining the stability of political regimes. In this chapter we explore how much confidence immigrants exhibit for the political institutions of their host country.
