Abstract

This paper focuses on passivity of subsystems of a switched system on their active regions. This individual passivity property is characterized by completeness. We allow each subsystem to have individual storage function to describe the passivity property. The conditions under which individual passivity property produces stability are given in terms of specific completeness. Output feedback controllers and switching laws are also designed. Under some detactability of subsystems, asymptotic stability is derived.
