Abdurrahman Wahid was his own worst enemy
Abstract
.......at bottom Abdurrahman Wahid was his own worst enemy. Again and again flaws in his character brought good policy, good government and the necessity to be accountable undone. His period of tenure was marred by repeated lapses into capriciousness, vindictiveness, self indulgence, stubbornness and prejudice. These are harsh words perhaps, but the facts of his short reign support the judgement.
