Abstract
A collection of narrations by residents of Bevdevn Village, Morehead-Rural Area, South-Fly District, Western Province, Papua New Guinea. The narrators span a variety of age groups, consisting of both men and women. The narratives usually concern events that happened to the narrator at some point in their lives, but can also be procedurals, opinions, traditional stories, interviews, and discussions of future plans. The recordings were collected in 2014 and 2015. The video recordings were made on either a Zoom HC Camera or iPhone 5s video camera. Audio recordings were made usually on either a Zoom H4 or H5 microphone, and usually on a Samson SE10 head-mounted microphone at a sample rate of 44.1 kHz on a Zoom H2n recorder.
