Abstract
DEPUTY Prime Minister Julia Gillard's announced "war on poverty" (The Age, 12/1) is probably the only "war" worth supporting. What a great start to 2008! There are communities in this prosperous country that struggle daily and that are excluded and the numbers are growing.
