The summer of the mortals, by George Giannopoulos is a very small poetry collection, which I had the honor to analyze and give my personal views in an article entitled 'My self is the others'. The article is based on on how the poet raises immortality in his verses. Giannopoulos' work is very laconic and 'composed'. The article refers to a number of French poets and to stylistics of poetry; it gives examples of post- modern writing, indirectly tackling the issue of immortality and it exhibits Giannopoulos' ways to say very little in a non-romantic, 'dry' and direct language that generates admiration and deep thinking, with regard his art.en_AU
