Abstract

In previous works, approaches for fault tolerant computation of PDEs were described which utilise flexibility and redundancy within the sparse grid combination technique. In this paper we describe a parallel fault tolerant implementation for a two-dimensional advection problem based on this work and evaluate its robustness against simulated faults. Our results demonstrate that this approach is extremely robust.
