Abstract

A method based on electro-optic control was demonstrated for the enhancement of a nonideal quantum nondemolition (QND) system. A 700 mW Nd:YAG laser at 1064 nm was used to pump a second-harmonic generator (SHG). The 532 nm green light from the SHG was used to pump the optical parametric amplifier cavity. Results showed that the electro-optic feedforward loop improved the signal transfer efficiency of the QND system.
