Excitation of the 4s 1 P 1 and 3 P 1 States of Argon by Positron Impact

Abstract

Absolute cross sections were measured for the excitation of the 4s J=1 fine-structure states of argon by positron impact. As such, previous calculations in the excitation of the unresolved 4s state represented in LS coupling in a nonrelativistic distorted-wave approximation.
