Abstract

Mountain is a thrilling filmic collaboration between director Jennifer Peedom and the Australian Chamber Orchestra, directed by Richard Tognetti. The film is a dramatic interweaving of chamber music with footage of mountain landscapes. The soundtrack allows a reliving of the thrill of the film, with the ACO's characteristic sensitivity and dexterity. The album brings together music by Grieg, Part and Sculthorpe, as well as some of Tognetti's own compositions, in a collection as dramatic and diverse as the landscape that inspired it.
