Abstract
Presence of endophytic bacteria was reported in many crops including maize (Zea mays L.). Endophytes play a significant role in plant nutrient and pesticide uptake. Application of endrophytic bacteria is a goal of sustainable agriculture. Occurrence of Azospirillum strains is often reported as tissue inhabiting bacteria of maize.
