A geometric approach to analyze solar cells with local rear contacts has been proposed in a recent paper. This brief presents an extension to it based on numerical iteration that permits us to determine I -V characteristic curves and conversion efficiencies. A good agreement with 3-D Sentaurus Device simulations is observed.
