Abstract

We propose a theoretical price-based congestion control scheme that comprises a link algorithm, a way to set an aggregate virtual link price, and a source algorithm based on a modified FAST TCP window updating mechanism. We prove that the new scheme achieves (alpha, eta)-proportional fairness and demonstrate, via ns2 simulations, performance improvement over a FAST-TCP-based congestion control scheme.
