dc.description.abstractThe fundamental position in this paper is that spiritual traditions are independently important and do not need or seek external validation. It is argued however that Indigenous spiritual traditions - as with other spiritual traditions of significance to people - should as a rebuttable presumption be recognised, respected, protected and regarded as intrinsically valuable.
