Abstract

Annotated News: USA Series is a folio of screen prints responding to the daily news published in broadsheets and tabloids in New York City and across the USA. Printed at the Robert Blackburn Print Studio in Manhattan the artworks are diaristic in their nature, providing a commentary on political events as they unfolded each day over a two month period in 2018. The screen prints were purchased and acquired by the New York Public Library Print Collection due to their relevance as a record in time of the mood regarding politics, international relations, the environment, feminism and Australian-American relations.
