Abstract

This painting re-presents the burning of The Grenfell Tower in London. It was first exhibited in a solo exhibition that featured a conceptual clash between 'traditional' painterly works and digital prints generated through new media software. These formal tensions draw from recent social and political events, driven by irreconcilable disputes between technocratic utopianism and nostalgic forms of anti-modernity.
