Abstract

Absolute differential cross sections for elastic scattering of electrons from krypton have been measured at two incident energies where discrepancies between previous measurements had been large. The magnetic angle-changing device of Read and co-workers has been used to extend the present measurements to backward angles up to 180°. The measurements reveal some differences with previous calculations at backward angles, but the resultant integral and momentum transfer cross-sections resolve some of the discrepancies with the previous measurements.
