Abstract

It is a complex story that does not lend itself to brief summaries. The scaffolding of the text is composed of letters, diaries, and a rediscovered book. So we are faced with a novel (the story of Leo's love for Alma) in the novel and a story that moves back and forth in time and, simultaneously, from one continent to another.
