Abstract

Once, the 29th incarnation of Chuang Tzu dreamt he was Pinocchio and awoke doubting it. The next night he dreamt how Pinocchio experienced logical explosion. Pinocchio was a representative counterpart at a logical world parliament, elected for his one outstanding feature: his nose for truth. Pinocchio’s nose grew just when he was stating something untrue (the Pinocchio principle). One day Pinocchio was beguiled by the dark side of logical force into saying ‘My nose is growing’ (the Pinocchio statement).
