Abstract

Potential-model calculations for the energies and widths of T=3/2 levels in A=11 nuclei have previously been used to argue that the 1/2+, T=3/2 levels in 11B and 11C have been misidentified. Here we repeat these calculations using different, more reasonable, definitions for the energy and width of an unbound level, and also using a many-channel R-matrix model. We find reasonable agreement with the experimental energies of the 1/2+, T=3/2 levels in 11B and 11C but possible disagreement in their widths.
