Abstract
A recent inquiry in Australia into the legal protection of religious freedom has reawakened the question whether Australia meets its strict obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) to protect freedom of religion, and the freedoms of expression and of association in the support they provide to freedom of religion.
