Abstract

Reprising my role as on-stage pianist from Sydney Dance Company's 'Grand' (2005), I appeared as both performer and composer in The Australian Ballet's 2018 retrospective of Graeme Murphy in 'Murphy'. Accounting for roughly 30 minutes of this 100 minute production, I performed works by Ginastera, Gershwin, Fats Waller, Beethoven, and Liszt, also performing the 'entr'actes' I composed to link the works. This highly publicised production comprised 12 dates at the Melbourne Arts Centre, and 20 dates at the Sydney Opera House, playing to an estimated total audience of 50,000 people.
