dc.description.abstractThis seventh chapter begins with a brief comment on the major sources of information on live births and under-five deaths that the MDG considered as alternative data sources for estimating of infant and under-five mortality rates. Wijesekere argues that opportunities exist to improve the U5MR by focusing specifically on infant mortality.
