Abstract
Dementia is a highly stigmatized condition. The two main stigma reduction strategies that have been successfully applied to other stigmatized conditions are education and contact. These strategies enhance awareness and understanding of dementia. There has been research exploring people’s knowledge and attitudes towards dementia and people with dementia (PWD). However, what people do not know and therefore would like to learn about dementia has not been explored.
