The Development Needs of Pacific Island Countries

Abstract

The report “Development Needs of Pacific Countries” investigates areas of possible cooperation between Samoa, Tonga and Papua New Guinea and a range of development actors, including China. It seeks to identify development challenges in these three Pacific Islands, what development cooperation and assistance currently exists and where there are gaps and overlaps. The research also examines what interest Chinese actors have for future development cooperation in the region.
