Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to look at the principle of non-intervention in the domestic affairs of States (UN Charter, Article 2(7)), the principle of respect for human rights, and the powers of the Security Council. It will not be a learned paper replete with footnotes. The aim is to stimulate discussion.
