Abstract

In this annual review issue of Pathology that is dedicated to breast pathology, we have put together 10 articles authored by internationally recognised experts. This series of reviews covers the current ‘hot topics’ in the field of breast diagnostic and molecular pathology. The following broad groups of topics have been addressed: molecular classification of breast cancer and application of novel molecular technologies, key biological processes with relevance to breast cancer, emerging roles of existing prognostic variables and diagnostically challenging breast lesions.
