dc.description.abstractThis is a presentation to the Australasian Research Management Society conference held in Adelaide on 12 September 2013. It covers the basics of open access such as: Why open access? What is green OA? and What is gold OA? Also covered are: repository types, managing copyright, Article Processing Charges and issues with hybrid. The talk also looks at different types of mandates, including what NHMRC & ARC mandates are actually asking for and compliance challenges for mandates. It finishes with an international perspective including how the Finch report and the RCUK mandate is affecting everyoneen_AU
