Abstract

We demonstrate the first all-optical carrier recovery of coherent signals using on-chip Brillouin gain, replacing digital techniques, with sub-nanosecond latency. This demonstration serves as a proof-of-concept for integrated photonic carrier recovery chips for coherent communications.
