Reactions of WIr3(CO)11(η-C5H 4R) (R=H, Me) and excess diphenylbuta-1,3-diyne in refluxing toluene afford a large number of products in each case, one of which has been identified as [WIr3{μ 4-η 7-C(Ph)C(C≡ CPh)C(Ph)CC(H)CC6H4 C(O)-2}(CO)7(η-C 5H4R)
