Abstract

The VOSON suite enables the collection and analysis of online networks, and comprises: VOSON web app for hyperlink networks (2006), vosonSML R package for collecting social media (eg Twitter) (2015), and VOSON Dashboard R/Shiny web app for network analysis and collection (2018). VOSON has been uniquely positioned to answer major sociological questions about the networked society: how do issues emerge?; what influences people to change behaviour and attitudes?; how to characterise identity using traces of online behaviour?
