Abstract

Objective: We outline reflections on the problem of decreasing membership engagement in the RANZCP (the ‘College’) and propose approaches to enhance membership engagement. Conclusion: We propose approaches to improve membership engagement based on the sociological concepts of social capital, addressing the pressures of psychiatric practice and the medico-political environment. We also propose harnessing the CPD program to enhance RANZCP volunteering.
