dc.description.abstractPlasmonic nanoantennas are known to provide strong enhancement of the radiative decay rate for localized emitters placed in their electric near-fields [1]. On the other hand, it was shown recently that all-dielectric nanoantennas can enable high directivity and near-unity radiation efficiency [2,3]. Here we suggest and analyze a hybrid metal-dielectric nanoantenna consisting of a gold nanorod and a silicon nanodisk, which allows combining these complementary advantages while maintaining a subwavelength footprint.
