dc.description.abstractWe experimentally investigate the slow light enhancement of nonlinear effects such as self-phase modulation, two-photon absorption and free carriers, through dispersion-engineered silicon photonic crystal waveguides. We also observe emission of visible light through thirdharmonic generation.
