Growth conditions modulate root-wave phenotypes in arabidopsis
The cause for the wave-like growth of Arabidopsis thaliana roots on semi-solid medium remains unclear. Researchers have hypothesized a gravity-induced touch-response, circumnutation, or combinations thereof act as the major stimuli.
