Measurement of the Effect of Large Deformation-Aligned Ground-State Spin on Fission Fragment Anisotropies

Description

The effect on fission fragment anisotropies of the alignment of ground-state nuclear spin with the nuclear deformation axis has been investigated for the reactions 31P+ 176Lu and 29Si+ 178Hf, through measurements at a range of energies spanning the fusion barrier.
