Abstract

Litigants might be described as ‘notable’ for any number of reasons. Noteworthy litigants during the first decades of the Court's life included many well-known public figures, and many others who became notable precisely because of their involvement in litigation that attracted public notoriety. Other litigants have been notable for the persistence of their approaches to the Court, or for having some personal connection with the Justices.
