ASPARTATE OXIDASE plays an important role in Arabidopsis stomatal immunity

Perception of pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs), such as bacterial flagellin (or the peptide flg22), by surface-localized receptors activates defense responses and subsequent immunity.
