Performance assessment of hybrid surface emitting lasers with lateral one-dimensional photonic-crystal mirrors
The performance of vertical cavity surface emitting lasers can be enhanced, while simplifying the fabrication process, by adopting a hybrid design using a photonic-crystal (PhC) top mirror.
