(Watashitachi ga Shiru) Nihon no Owari na no ka [The End of Japan (as we Knew it)?]

Morris-Suzuki, Tessa

Description

This chapter examines the likely impact of the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear accident of 11 March 2011 on Japanese society. It suggests that the impact will be profound and long lasting, but that the disaster may offer opportunities to overcome longstanding problems that have beset the Japanese political system and civil society.
