Description: The University Health Service offers a program for students -- especially those who do not participate in sport regularly -- to improve their level of physical fitness which the Health Service believes helps mental performance as well. The first step in the program is to test cardio-vascular fitness on a cycle ergometer. The heart rate over varying workloads is measured. The Director of the University Health Service, Dr S. B. Furnass, carries out the tests.
