Despite their potential in various biomedical applications, photocrosslinkable hyaluronate hydrogels have often been limited by weak formation and unsatisfied mechanical strength which can be attributed to insufficient substitution of photoactive groups on the hyaluronate backbone and the oxygen inhibition effect.
