Sino-Mongol culture contacts in the XIII century : a study on Yeh-lu Ch'u-ts'ai

Abstract

The present dissertation is a biographical study of the Xiii century statesman and scholar Yeh-lu Ch'u-ts'ai (1189-1243). It is an attempt to refine our understanding of the life, career and thought of this eminent figure in the history of Asia in the light of his own writings and of contemporary accounts.
